Service Description

May 16th, 23rd, 30th, - June 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th Instructor: Charlotte Hauk Up-level current wheel throwing skills, learn plates, enhancing forms, closed forms, lidded forms and experiment with surface decoration. Explore the creative side of ceramics without the wheel. This handbuilding course focuses on slab and coil techniques, giving you the freedom to design and create functional and decorative pieces at your own pace. Students will learn how to shape and construct forms using slabs and coils while building skills in structure, design, and surface finishing. In this course, you’ll create: • Plates and platters • Mugs and bowls • Vases and sculptural forms You’ll also explore a variety of glaze decorating techniques to bring your pieces to life with colour, texture, and personal style. This course is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to expand their ceramic skills in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.
